During the period from 18th to 23rd May the delegation of the CICA Secretariat led by Mr Jandos Asanov, CICA Executive Director participated in the Asia-Pacific Business Forum and Ministerial Meeting that have taken place in Almaty within the framework of the 63rd Session of UN ESCAP. During the course of the event J.Asanov held bilateral talks with Mr Khurshid Anwar, Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Mr Bolat Nurgaliev, Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Mr Li Hui, Assistant Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China and Mr Serik Primbetov, Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC). At the bilateral meetings discussed were the issues of establishing working links between the CICA Secretariat and the permanent working bodies of the said intergovernmental organisations as well as participation of the CICA member-states in the projects of the Forum on establishing confidence building measures (CBMs).
