With the aim to further advance the process of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and implement the provisions of the Cooperative Approach for the Implementation of CICA CBMs (Confidence Building Measures) a meeting of the CICA Special Working Group will be held in Almaty on 17-18th July, 2007.

During the course of the meeting it is planned to consider the concepts and action plans on the implementation of the confidence building measures that have been prepared by CICA member-states on the cooperation projects, voluntarily selected by them on the basis of the CICA Catalogue of Confidence Building Measures. The agenda of the meeting also includes the report of the CICA Executive Director of his working trips to the CICA participating countries as well as discussion of draft Memoranda of Understanding between the CICA Secretariat and a number of secretariats of other international structures. The members of the Special Working Group are also to consider financial and administrative issues of the CICA Secretariat.
