Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Mr. Erlan Idrissov and Executive Director of the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Ambassador Gong Jianwei met in Astana on 21 August 2014.
Ambassador Gong Jianwei conveyed a personal message from HE Mr. Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, expressing commitment  of the Chinese side for further promotion and deepening of the CICA Process.
           During the meeting, the parties discussed the outcome of the Fourth CICA Summit, held on 21 May 2014 in Shanghai, as well as issues of further development of the CICA Process. Relocation of the CICA Secretariat to Astana in the nearest future and celebratory events dedicated to the CICA Day on 5th October were also discussed.
