STATEMENT BY THE CICA CHAIRMANSHIP

CONCERNING THE FOREST FIRES IN ISRAEL AND LEBANON

The Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Chairmanship expresses its deep sorrow for the loss of lives of people and the extensive damage caused by the forest fires in the Carmel mountains of the State of Israel and in the Fıtri and Wadi Shahrour areas  of the Republic of Lebanon between 2-6 December 2010 and 4-6 December 2010, respectively.

The Chairmanship conveys its heartfelt sympathy with the people of the State of Israel and the Republic of Lebanon.
