PRESS RELEASE

    Regular meetings of the Special Working Group (SWG) and the Senior Officials Committee of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) were held in Ankara, Republic of Turkey on 29-30 November 2012. The meetings were chaired by Ambassador Bulent Tulun, Chairman of CICA Task Force at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
    Member States discussed follow-up action on the declaration of the Fourth Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of CICA held in Astana on 12 September 2012; implementation of confidence building measures in different dimensions; and general issues relating to CICA including budget for the year 2013.
    Turkish Chairmanship will host the next meeting of the Senior Officials Committee in Istanbul (Turkey) in March 2013.
